‘The Originals’ spoilers: Phoebe Tonkin talks Hayley, Klaus, and that big twist

When the backdoor pilot for “The Originals” aired during “The Vampire Diaries” earlier this year, there was a shocker that we are sure pretty much  no one saw coming: Hayley was pregnant with Klaus’ child. The two only had a one-night stand, and yet, they are in a situation now where we have a storyline that we really never saw coming prior to the midway point of last season.

So what is going to be coming up now for Hayley? While Phoebe Tonkin is relatively light on the details in the video below, she does her best to set up the situation, which she definitely never expected to find herself in. She also opens up in great detail about why we are seeing Hayley in New Orleans in the first place, as she continues to hunt down her family.

Whether it be her pregnancy or finding out something else about her history, there is going to be something that brings the character in the city. Hayley is probably the least-familiar of the characters from “The Vampire Diaries” to inhabit this spin-off show, and there is quite a bit to explore. She also has a unique place right now as the only werewolf in the bunch, which puts her in a very interesting position when it comes to finding someone who will actually related to her on some level.
