‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ review: Joe and Teresa Giudice get emotional over jail fears
Usually when you watch an episode of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” there is an almost-awkward feeling that comes along with it for one simple reason: Everything that you are seeing on the show actually happened many months ago, and it often feels somewhat out of place and ill-timed for what is going on with the stars at this point in their lives.
However, the new episode that aired on Bravo Sunday night did not exactly feel this way at all. As a matter of fact, it simply felt more like we were watching something that could be ripped from the headlines courtesy of one key moment: Joe Giudice getting personal, and admitting what some of his deep-seeded fears are about going to prison. This is a trial that is being played out now in real-time, and it is a happy coincidence that the events lined up so well together.
This scene, which took place in Arizona, is one of the few times in which we have seen the guy show off a sensitive side since first joining the show, but does this make him any more endearing? This is where we have a hard time saying that it does. He’s still too enigmatic of a character to get attached to, and he and Teresa are just such harbingers of drama time and time again. We like our action on this show to be silly more often than not, with a little bit of drama sprinkled in.
Overall, what did you think about this “Real Housewives of New Jersey” episode, and are you surprised that Joe was so vulnerable? If you want to read some more news and previews when it comes to “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” just be sure to visit the link here.
