“Game of Thrones” is one of the most-popular shows around the globe right now, but somehow, it is able to have a pretty spoiler-free shooting period for most of the year. As for the reason why, you can largely thank the places in which they shoot. Media cannot get on the sound-stages without approval, and many of their locations are so remote that it is not worth the time or the money for the paparazzi to show up.
With all of this being said, there is at least one location still out there where a group of journalists will show up, mostly because it is right in the center of a popular tourist city: Dubrovnik, Croatia. While it may not be packed full of cameras the way that a film set would be in New York City, there are still people out there collecting images.
One person that we can confirm will have a presence this season outdoors? Natalie Dormer, who plays the character of Margaery Tyrell. This is hardly surprising, given that she is one of the fixtures of King’s Landing these days. However, it is still welcome news to know that her character will be around, and potentially playing her ever-familiar part of one of the best game-players the world of Westeros has ever seen.
Some other characters featured at such other locations as the Trsteno Arboretum (per photos obtained by Winter is Coming) include the likes of Diana Rigg and Gwendoline Christie, who definitely has an interesting journey ahead as Briene based on what we saw unfold at the end of last year with her and Jaime making it to the city.
