‘Sons of Anarchy’ season 6: First promo video for ‘Anarchy Afterword’
Tuesday, September 10 is going to mean more than just the season 6 premiere for “Sons of Anarchy” on FX; it is also going to be the first opportunity that you have to watch the “Anarchy Afterword” aftershow (a lot of alliteration there, we know) following the show’s completion at this link. Given that FX’s website basically makes it impossible for anyone outside of America to visit, this means bad news for those of you who love the show internationally and want to check it out.
In the promo below shared by executive producer Kurt Sutter on Twitter, you can at least get an idea of what the look and feel of the show is going to be like, including its snazzy logo and some of how the social-media interaction will work. The idea here is for this to be a very open experience between the show and those tuning in to it, with the option being open to expand it to broadcast during season 7 if it ends up being successful.
While there are quite a few details on this still to come, what we can tell you for now is that Chris Franjola will host the program, and that Sutter will be a guest on its three installments along with some select actors from the show and a celebrity “superfan.” Yes, comparisons between this and “Talking Dead” are going to be inevitable, but early indications are that there are going to be a few things in here that help to set it apart.
One thing that FX is definitely doing right? Unlike AMC and “Talking Bad” at the moment, they are actually doing the relevant thing and airing the aftershow immediately after the episode airs. Let’s applaud not having to wait, and also giving a bad connotation to a show like “Low Winter Sun” that actually doesn’t deserve it.
