‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 5: Candice Accola reflects on Caroline’s journey

On Thursday, October 3 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time, “The Vampire Diaries” is going to be back with a season that really shows how far some of these characters have come since the early days of the show. But before we get to that, why not take a little bit of a look back at the past?

In the video below straight from The CW, Candice Accola reflects on what were a pair of extremely-memorable scenes for her to shoot from the fourth season of the show, especially from an emotional point of view. Not only were prom and graduation big moments for Caroline Forbes, but it was also something that all of the cast and crew could relate to. She explained that doing these scenes gave everyone an opportunity to look back and talk about their own experiences from these big days, and that ultimately drove everyone much closer together than they otherwise would have been (and that is even with the long work days in mind).

We are talking about this video one day after discussing the first promo for the new season, which sadly did not tease whether or not Caroline’s longtime love Tyler Lockwood is going to be returning to Mystic Falls. Instead, it focused on her and Elena starting up school at Whitmore College, and what is going to happen back in Mystic Falls with Silas on the scene, who is disguised as his doppelganger of Stefan. It won’t be long until Silas is found out, but he could inflict great damage in a short amount of time.
