‘The Newsroom’ season 2, episode 8 preview: Taylor goes from enemy to friend … to enemy
We know that you are going to be waiting for a full week to really get excited for the September 8 episode of “The Newsroom,” but to help make the wait for the first hour of the two-part finale a little more palatable, we have a new sneak-peek video below for you to enjoy.
If you like seeing a certain Jim Harper try to get a little bit of revenge, then this video is for you. Remember Taylor, Mitt Romney’s former press aide? Well, she is going to be looking for some more work after being dismissed from his organization, and that apparently includes being a correspondent for “News Night” for their election coverage. It’s her first-time on-camera for a special like this, and Jim does not seem to be particularly interested in making things easy on her. Why’s that? Just remember that Taylor ratted on him over giving away a thirty-minute interview with the candidate to his soon-to-be girlfriend.
Unfortunately for Jim, we don’t know if this mean-spirited attitude is going to get him as far as he thinks that it will. Maggie eventually enters the picture after seeing Jim’s treatment of Taylor, and she asks him what is a pretty simple question: Does she hate Jim as much as she does? She says that they can work together courtesy of some information, and we are already insanely curious to see where the story goes from there.
On a slightly unrelated note, be prepared to laugh courtesy of Olivia Munn’s Sloan Sabbith at the end of the clip.
