‘The Good Wife’ season 5 spoilers: ‘Fringe’s’ John Noble back for more

The latest -In case you loved seeing John Noble on “The Good Wife” this past season, we have some more very-good news to share now: You’re going to be seeing more of the former “Fringe” star on the hit CBS show very soon.

According to a new report from TV Guide, Noble is going to be returning for the fifth season once again as Matthew Ashbaugh, the deceased former client of Alicia Florrick (Julianna Margulies). Given that the character is in fact dead, this really is a mystery in trying to figure out just what sort of relevancy he is going to have to an upcoming case.

One easy guess to make? That maybe Alicia takes on a new case with a connection to him. She is in a position where she will have a more active role when it comes to her job, and that is mostly due to her and Cary opting to start up a firm of their own at the end of last season. With this new power of course (to actually quote “Spider-Man”) comes great responsibility, and taking on a new and diverse array of clients could present some interesting stories. Plus, it could serve as a nice distraction from the story of Peter continuing to be … well, Peter.
