‘Criminal Minds’ season 9 spoilers: ‘NCIS’ alum Sarah Jane Morris to guest

Sarah Jane Morris has quite a CBS following already courtesy of her time at “NCIS,” but in this latest update, we’re pleased to report that the actress has now signed up for a part on a show that nearly has the same sort of fervent fan following: “Criminal Minds.”

So who is the actress going to play? All that has been said at this point is that she will take on the part of a target for one of the latest criminals to be featured on the show. She will appear in the sixth episode of the show’s ninth season, and given that this will be close to the start of the November sweeps, we presume that this will be a pretty eventful hour.

For “Criminal Minds” and executive producer Erica Messer, this is a casting that is worth doing some sort of victory dance in celebration. Morris is someone that is very popular with “NCIS” fans still, and if you can get even a few of them to watch your show, that has to be considered a win. There’s a reason why so many actors from the CBS procedural world bounce around from one show to the next; they know that the fans are extremely supportive, and that it almost feels like a fun little easter egg and a chance to show a different side of your ability.
