NBC’s ‘The Voice’ notes: Cassadee Pope, Blake Shelton news

In starting off this edition of “The Voice” notes, we’ll begin with an update from season 5 production. Blake Shelton announced on Twitter just this past week that he and the rest of the coaches were still at work filming what we are guessing to be the Battle Round stages of the competition, given the announcement recently that he is going to be working with Cher. (In case you missed it, Christina Aguilera has Ed Sheeran, Cee Lo Green has Miguel, and Adam Levine has Ryan Tedder.)

Is Blake going to win yet again? It’s hard to say without seeing his talent, but he has expressed lately that the overall level of performance quality this year is incredibly high … which only surprises us because the talent pool has to be somewhat tapped-out at this point between all of these shows.

Meanwhile … how about an update when it comes to one of the artists who has won the show with Blake? Cassadee Pope is currently gearing up for the launch of her “Frame by Frame” debut album on October 8, and the Instagram clip below shows her performing one of her emotional new songs “11.”

In preparation for her album coming out, this song will be made available exclusively starting up on Tuesday, August 27, which is good news for anyone out there who is of the extremely impatient mindset. The song sounds perfect for the country market based on what we are hearing here.
