MTV’s ‘Awkward’ season 3 lands October premiere date; watch a new promo!

Whether you call it “Awkward” season 3B or just the rest of “Awkward” season 3, the result is the same: This is a show that you clearly love, and it’s one that you are excited to see back on the air.

Luckily, we feel the same way about the series, and so we have some big news not only about the show’s return, but some pretty fun things that the folks over at MTV are doing to promote it. First, the big news: Tuesday, October 22 is the date in which the show returns to the air, and the time is the same at 10:00 p.m. Eastern. This is the first time that the show has come on during the fall, as it was a summer staple the first two years.

As for the clip below, it’s mostly based just around Sadie being Sadie, but also doing so almost “Freaky Friday” style. We don’t really know who came up with this idea, but it’s an interesting idea to suggest where Jenna is going to be going emotionally, after doing what she did to Matty with Colin at the end of the spring half of the season. Her friends are going to distance themselves from her in many ways, and she could resort to doing some pretty bad things. Will her relationship be fine? We imagine that the answer there is “not so much,” but given that there are still two months to go until the show returns, almost anything could happen in that time.
