‘Criminal Minds’ season 9 spoilers: ‘CSI: Miami’ alum Eva La Rue signs up
For those of you who do still miss “CSI: Miami” over a year after its cancellation by CBS, we like to think of this casting as the network throwing a pretty lovely bone to some of the show’s longtime fans who also watch “Criminal Minds.”
In a post on her Twitter account (which you can see below), Eva La Rue confirmed that she was going to be stopping by for a guest-starring role; though sadly, the only thing that is currently known about this particular role is the characters name:
“Wish I were still playing Natalia on CSI Miami, but playing Agent Mays on Criminal Minds is the next best thing!”
For “Criminal Minds,” we merely hope that the show does not end up meeting the same fate as the other series anytime soon: Being canceled without much notice at all, and thus leaving viewers hungry for more. Luckily, this is still one of the network’s most-popular franchises, and most of the episodes are still pretty highly-rated in comparison to some of the others on the network. Does La Rue’s appearance help with the ratings? Maybe, but the one thing that the show really just needs to focus on is crafting great stories. There is an epic-two-hour premiere planned to really wipe off the haze left by the Replicator, and then the show will just pick up from there with some great cases.
Do you think that La Rue’s appearance will help “Criminal Minds” in any way, and are you happy to hear about her coming on board the show? As always, we want to hear some of your thoughts with a comment below! There is some more scoop related to the show here, and we’ll be back soon with more.
