‘So You Think You Can Dance’: Travis Wall, other all-stars to dance, choreograph routines

How is this for a major twist in the world of “So You Think You Can Dance“? Following last night’s stellar outing featuring the All-Stars, some more famous faces are coming back. Not only that, but they will be filling the role of dancer and also choreographer for the first time ever on the show. It’s a nice opportunity to see just what dancers who are already a part of the show have to say, and it’s a great way to maybe bring back some old fans who really need to be watching this excellent season (which is a major comeback from the so-so outing last year).

The eight all-stars announced for last week are Stephen “tWitch” Boss, Dimitry Chaplin, Mark Kanemura, Travis Wall, Comfort Fedoke, Courtney Galiano, Allison Hooker, and Chelsie Hightower. What’s interesting about this group is that they are all from either season 2 or season 4, and no one on the list actually ended up winning this season.

Some of these people (like Travis) we’ve seen only in the choreographer’s role as of late, while others (including Dimitry and Chelsie) have been a part of the “Dancing with the Stars” family, where they have been in both roles for some time. We don’t know whether this will make the performances better or worse, but it is definitely a worthy experiment to see what comes out of it. This also could lead to some all-stars taking on roles as choreographers in the future of the show, which would bring some more new blood to that department, as well.

“So You Think You Can Dance” was sadly down in the ratings again, but if you click here, you can read about some of the individual highlights from a great show last night.
