NBC’s ‘Parenthood’ season 5 spoilers: Tyson Ritter’s band now has a drummer
On “Parenthood” season 5, the band is apparently very much getting together. You may have heard the news already about Tyson Ritter of the All-American Rejects joining the show for an arc as the frontman for a band that has a somewhat rough on the exterior, but is kind on the inside.
Now, we’re getting the rest of the band together. According to a new report from TVLine, “Jane By Design” alum Matthew Atkinson has scored a role on the show this season, where he will play the drummer for this said band. The character’s name is Zach, and he is going to specifically spend a little bit of time bonding with the Amber character. All in all, this has all of the makings of making a pretty interesting story, mostly because it is an important for the world of music to extend a little beyond the studio.
While we already know that Ray Romano is coming back this season for multiple episodes, there are still many mysteries ahead when it comes to some of the show’s primary relationships. Also, we wonder just how the show is going to handle doing a 22-episode run this year, which is a little bit different from what they have been up to in the past. There is actually a major advantage that comes via having a shorter order, mostly because it does allow for an opportunity to have a more contained story, and there is more time to focus on each script. If “Parenthood” manages to keep the level of quality the same for 22 episodes this year, they really might be even more worthy of all the nominations that they have been snubbed for over the years.
