‘Rizzoli & Isles’ season 4, episode 7 review: Does Jane’s injury spark romance?

Rizzoli & Isles are on the case -Last week “Rizzoli & Isles” had Jane in a very vulnerable position as a couple of scammers tried to sue her in an attempt to get her condo and if you were hoping that she would get a break from the drama this week, you’re going to be disappointed.

On this week’s episode of “Rizzoli & Isles” season 4, Jane finds herself in a vulnerable position once again, but this time it’s from her own doing. While jogging she twists her ankle and in true Rizzoli fashion, instead of taking the help that Maura is offering (to take her to the hospital), she is instead insisting that she is fine. After much discussion (and a few threats) Maura is able to get Jane in for an x-ray and even though her ankle isn’t broken, her foot is going to be wrapped up in one of those big ugly boots to help it heal and is given some crutches to help her get around.

While Jane’s focus is all on her hurting foot (and a little bit on missing Casey) Maura is focused on Rafael and how she thinks he is into Jane. When Rafael commandeers Jane’s car leaving her with a messed up foot and no way to get around, Maura has a little bit of fun at Jane’s expense, saying that maybe Rafael took her car as a way of flirting or getting her attention, because she’s not interested in him. When Jane finds out that her mother had her own car impounded so that Rafael could give it to her to use, she’s not sure what the motivation is… that is until he says that he’s worried about her and tells her to go home and get some rest. Could there be some feelings there for Rafael? It’s starting to look that way.

Barry is sweet on the coffee barista at Boston Joe’s that called Jane the “B” word in last week’s episode over the coffee spilling incident and she gives him her number with the hopes that they will  see each other again soon. They meet up at the restaurant Jane’s mother works at and she immediately recognizes Barry’s date. We are pretty sure this will end up being a problem when his partner Jane finds out he’s romancing the enemy.

Are you surprised to see Rafael moving in on Jane or do you think it won’t develop beyond a little flirting on his part? Leave us a comment and tell us what you think will happen next time on coffee “Rizzoli and Isles”. If you want to check out a preview for next week’s all new episode you can do so here.
