‘Glee’ season 5 spoilers: Lea Michele, Chris Colfer talk returning to work

What's next? -Monday marks a very important day not just for “Glee” as a series, but also for the people who star on it: After a few weeks of sadness, mourning, and trying to figure out the future, the actors and producers are now back at work creating what is the first episode of the new season.

In some ways, production for some actors started last week with a wardrobe fitting, as they attempted to make sure that everyone was ready for the filming portion of the new year. For more on that, just take a look at this Twitter message from Lea Michele, which is her first message directly related to the show since losing her boyfriend Cory Monteith earlier this year:

“First day of glee today..And at my first wardrobe fitting for Rachel Berry for Season Five! I’ve missed her so much❤”

Meanwhile, Lea’s co-star Chris Colfer told Entertainment Weekly today that while he has yet to go back to work this season, he imagines that it is going to be an awkward experience

“We’ve had bumps and dips along the road over the course of the years, but nothing like this. I know we’ve always come together — always — in the past, because we are such a family in the cast and the crew. But I don’t know. I’m assuming things will be very different, and I’m sure they’ll be difficult at first. But…. We’ll see. I think I’m positive.”

We are going to see both Michele and Colfer potentially have an even larger role this season, as we start to see New York slowly start to take over from McKinley High as the primary setting for the show. It may not happen in full until late this season, but the graduation of some of the current seniors coming up will be a major jump in that direction.

We’re going to have more of a “Glee” news flurry in the upcoming days, but for now, click here if you want to read some more specific news related to the series.
