NBC’s ‘Parenthood’ season 5 spoilers: All-American Rejects rocker in as…
It may qualify as some of the least-surprising casting news that is out there as rock star has officially been cast on the upcoming fifth season of “Parenthood” … where he will be playing a rock star.
According to a new report from TVLine, Tyson Ritter of the All-American Rejects has decided to swing, swing, swing his way over to the NBC drama series this fall, where he will be taking on the role of Oliver Rome, the lead singer of a rock band that will be performing at a familiar studio. On the surface, he has the sort of facade that you would almost expect from someone in his position: He is cocky, prone to quick fits, and likes to constantly get his way.
However, underneath the surface there is something going on with Oliver that suggests that he actually has a heart under that hard rock n’ roll exterior. Will someone be able to pull that out? In time probably, but there is no word just yet on how many characters he is going to end up becoming tied to. All we can say for now is that he will be appearing in multiple episodes of the show.
“Parenthood” is getting an opportunity to run for a full 22 episodes this season, and with that, we have a feeling that Ritter will not be the only intriguing guest star stopping by.
What do you think about this casting, and do you think that there is some pretty interesting things coming up for Ritter? As always, we want to hear some of your thoughts below!
