‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ review: Teresa Giudice, Jacqueline Laurita face off
This is the moment that maybe some of you have been waiting for: The showdown between Teresa Giudice and Jacqueline Laurita on “The Real Housewives of New Jersey.” It’s like Walter White vs. Gus Fring, without all of the good acting and the illegal drugs. (Teresa is having enough trouble with the law as it is.)
So while there were some funny moments that took place over the course of the episode, and even a moment of Teresa getting along with Melissa Gorga, her seeing Jacqueline for the first time all season started off a feud that had been simmering like a volcano over the past several months. Teresa brought up Napa, and at first it sounded almost like things were going to get better. But then, the conflict started to escalate with some conversation about Napa, which is so far in the rear-view mirror that we have almost forgotten about it … almost.
Jacqueline eventually was accused of breaking up Teresa and her brother, and said that she was still getting blamed for something that she personally believes that she did not do. There were allegations of gossip, tabloid stories, and Jacqueline’s attempts to deflect the subject so that there wouldn’t be another fight.
Then, Teresa basically begged for there to be another fight by telling her that there should be an apology. Is there really a need at all for them to still dwell on this? This is what makes this season, and these people, so baffling. Rather than trying to put things into the past, the focus instead lies on milking every little story for maximum TV time. It’s frustrating, and it takes away from there being some good drama in the past. It’s basically like a bad dessert that you make a dozen times without changing the recipe, and yet you expect a different result.

Jacqueline: I do not see where you could have come between Teresa and her brother. I do see where Teresa did that all by herself.
