‘Homeland’ season 3 spoilers: Does Carrie have a problem?
Within the first two episodes of “Homeland” season 3, we will be seeing a certain character undergo some more struggles with her demons … and it should not surprise any of you that this character is Carrie. After all, she is in love with Brody who everyone else is sure is some sort of mass murderer. He’s certainly no saint, but he did not blow up Langley in the same way that everyone else believes.
Will his departure from the country specifically be what causes her to drink, and drink often, early in this season? It’s possible, but Entertainment Weekly confirms that Carrie is going to be heading to the bottle often in an effort to drown some of her sorrows. She will also be off of her regular medication, which is certainly a symptom for some trouble of its own.
Carrie is also not going to be the only familiar character who has gone off the rails in the wake of what has transpired with Brody: A member of his immediate family will be doing the same. If you had to guess, who would it be? We imagine that it would be one of the only people who tried to stand up for him in the wake of the accusations, and ironically someone who spent most of season 2 pouting and hating her father. (It could be Jess, but we’re just speculating here given that Dana seems to be the ideal candidate.)
What do you want to see specifically unfold for Carrie on “Homeland”? For those who haven’t heard, Brody will make his first appearance of the season in episode 3; meanwhile, be sure to click here if you want to see some more news related to the show.
