ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 6: Soap star channels his inner 90’s icon

Do we now know when Stana Katic’s Beckett is going to be working again with some of her New York pals on “Castle” season 6? While we may not have much in the way of a concrete answer to that just yet, we are here with at least an attempt to try and solve another pressing question: Who is going to be one of the new faces that shows up in a pivotal third episode of the season entitled “Need to Know.”

According to a brand-new report that is coming in via TV Guide, Antonio Sabato Jr. of “General Hospital” and “The Bold and the Beautiful” is going to be making a slightly less-soapy appearance on the ABC drama this coming season, taking on the part of an actor named Ramon Russo, known for his part in the cheese-tastic program “2 Cool for School” that sounds almost like something that would be either loved or mocked if it exists in real life. (Think “Saved by the Bell,” but with extra camp and not enough Dustin Diamond.)

While details are sketchy on his character, he will be involved in the murder investigation of his “Screech”-like co-star, which will be conducted by Ryan, Esposito, and Castle. Does this mean that Beckett is in DC? Not necessarily, but someone unexpected is going to lend these three a hand in this case, and it is possible that it could be her. Even if she does help, that is still no guarantee that she is in Washington, or that she is leaving her post to return to New York. Just putting that out there.
