‘Elementary’ season 2 spoilers: ‘Smash’ alum to unlock part of Joan’s past

It's Joan's turn to reflect -On this past season of “Elementary,” we had an opportunity to get to know Sherlock much better than before courtesy of an appearance from Natalie Dormer … even if that ended up having him realize that he does not know Irene Adler nearly as well as he once thought he did. Now, it apparently looks like it is going to be Joan Watson’s turn to go under the microscope.

According to TVLine, Jeremy Jordan (who at times unfairly blamed for the downfall of “Smash” season 2 just as Jaime Cepero was for the first season ) is going to guest star in an October episode of the CBS drama as Joey Castoro, a man that holds a very important connection to the reason why Watson went into a slightly different profession. Castoro’s father is the man that Watson was responsible for accidentally killing during her days as a surgeon, which is something that she still holds a tremendous amount of guilt about to this day.

Therefore, there will be a rather hefty portion of this story that is going to be all about whether or not Watson finds it within herself to actually move forward from what happens, or if she will continue to swim in her own guilt, much like she has done for quite some time already.

What do you think about this casting, and does it make you rather pleased to see some many different “Smash” actors getting an opportunity to do something new after what happened to this show? As always, we want to hear some of your thoughts below! If you do want to check out some other scoop related to the show, our advice is to check out the story over at the link here.
