ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 6 spoilers: More details on a new face

Remember the news that “Castle” was casting a new detective character named Frank “Sully” Sullivan, who will appear during what appears to be the third episode of the season? Well, we’ve been lucky enough now to learn at least a little bit more as to who this guy is, and to try and fill in the cracks about what he could end up bringing to the world of the show.

According to new report from TVLine, Sully is going to be in his late 20s or early 30s, and will be a NYPD detective that is described as a “guy’s guy.” Therefore, he’s probably not going to be down for attending a hair appointment with Castle’s mom (like he ever would anyway). Given that there would be less of a point in showing the entire department without Castle or Beckett there, we wonder if one of them will interact with this guy, such as Castle in the event that Beckett is still giving her job opportunity in Washington DC a go.

What else we know is that this third episode is entitled “Need to Know,” and has a pretty comical premise in that the story revolves mostly around the star of a cheesy, “Saved By the Bell”-like classic TV that witnesses a tragedy when one of the actors is killed while filming some sort of reunion. We imagine this to be a case littered with mystery, jealousy, and a few cheesy one-liners that bring us back to an era gone by.
