‘Girls’ season 3 spoilers: Meet a pair of new faces

GirlsThe cast of “Girls” season 3 continues to balloon outward, though there’s no real indication that some of the people that we are meeting right now are going to become major players in the HBO show long-term. This is only somewhat surprising given that we don’t know what the future is going to hold specifically for Marnie, who seemingly needs some sort of new love interest following Christopher Abbott (Charlie) leaving the show.

Natalie Morales – The first casting we have to report here comes courtesy of TVLine, and this is the other semi-famous Natalie Morales, and not the one who discusses news stories on “The Today Show.” She will play a “sweet” woman in her twenties who likes to be around artists, and also has a certain desire to do almost everything that she can in order to make the world of better place. Good luck being an idealist in this show’s dirty, gritty version of Brooklyn … which is somehow still just a sliver of just what some parts of the real Brooklyn are.

Amir Arison – Meanwhile, Deadline reports that Arison, who last appeared in “Zero Hour,” is going to play a part that is for now only described as being a co-worker of Hannah Horvath’s. Now, you just have to wonder what that workplace is. Writing essays does not really require a hefty amount of staff around you.

The third season of “Girls” does not have a premiere date just yet, even though Lena Dunham and company are already deep into the 12-episode filming process. One possibility of course is to launch the show early next year, but given how much the network loves it, we’re sure that HBO wouldn’t mind putting it on sooner if they had a nice window.

If you do want to check out some more news related to the phenomenon, our advice is to just head on over to the link here.
