‘Game of Thrones’ season 4: Emmy talk and more from Emilia Clarke
2014 is turning out to be a very good year for Emilia Clarke. She had the opportunity to do some serious damage on “Game of Thrones” season 3 (thank her dragons for some of that), star in Broadway’s adaptation of “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” (even if the show did not end up lasting for a particularly long time), and is also filming now the HBO show’s fourth season. To think that we’re bringing all of this up without mentioning that she also now has her first-ever Primetime Emmy nomination.
So if you are an Emmy freak or just a diehard “Game of Thrones” fan, then you will love the lengthy chat she did with Gold Derby below. If you have had the opportunity to catch any of the website’s videos in the past, then the format is probably going to feel pretty familiar to you. Emilia talks a little bit about filming some of the scenes, why Daenerys Targaryen “continues to trust in her own strength,” and a little bit about how some of this will carry over.
For those of you begging to the spoiler gods for something good here, it’s not going to happen. HBO keeps a very tight lid on such matters, and even though the show is already based on the world of George R.R. Martin, they do change things up from time to time in order to better suit the story better for TV. All we’ll say is that if you have loved Daenerys’ journey so far, you will probably continue to do so based on the material that is already out there.
