‘Under the Dome’ episode 6 review: Will Angie take Big Jim’s deal?
Tonight’s crisis on “Under the Dome” will focus on water… what happens when they run out, can they get more, and since the dome is porous can rain get through?
When a car accident sends a truck crashing into the town’s water tower, the people of Chester’s Mill go into a panic as they watch the town’s water supply go down the drain.
Linda and Barbie go to the lake that the water supply comes from and find it filled with dead fish, polluted with methane. When they talk to Big Jim about their water problem he informs them that one of the townsfolk, Ollie, has a working well and he heads out talk them into sharing the water with the town. Big Jim talks to Ollie and tries to trade propane for water and he agrees, but when he delivers Ollie says he wants propane delivers once a week for continuous water supplies.
Angie has taken off from her house (after knocking Junior out) and is running to town. Junior spends the day trying to find Angie before she tells someone what he did, but she finds Rose and tells her that Junior and Big Jim had her locked in a bomb shelter, and she promises to protect her.
The town is in a crazy panic over supplies and riots are breaking out as people start stealing food, water and supplies. Two people break into Rose’s bar and kill Rose, knock Angie out and rob the place, leaving no one knowing the truth about what happened to Angie once again. Linda, Barbie and Junior try using tear gas on the rioters, but it doesn’t stop them. Just as Linda is about to start shooting people to gain control, it starts raining inside the dome and hope is restored.
Barbie finds Angie knocked unconscious and brings her to Big Jim, asking him to take care of her. He takes Angie back to his house and tries to negotiate with her for her silence, offering her protection from Junior as well as supplies (propane, water, anything she wants). Angie asks that Joe is included in this deal and Big Jim agrees, but she says that she needs to think about it.
