AMC’s ‘The Killing’ season 3 finale: Peter Sarsgaard, Mireille Enos reflect on Ray Seward
Obviously, we’ll start this article off with a warning: If you have not yet seen the last episode of “The Killing” that aired on Sunday night yet, we recommend that you stop reading before going any further. Otherwise, someone may very well kill off your good mood.
Watching the video below almost produces an eerie feeling. Even though you have already watched the death of Ray Seward once on the AMC series already, there is something about seeing it happen all over again that makes you want to wish that things could be different, that there is some sort of alternative story to be told here. This is a story all about a man trying to find meaning in the last few minutes that he has on this earth, and how it is actually just a glimpse at his child outside of a window that yields for him an opportunity to do just that.
There are also a couple of important acknowledgments that are touched on in the video below courtesy of series stars Peter Sarsgaard and Mireille Enos.
1. Through Linden’s actions by staying in the prison, she may have been able to find the peace that she needs with the Seward case (and the forgiveness) that she needs in order to move forward with life.
2. Holder, thanks to his interactions with Seward’s son Adrian, may have been able to stop himself from going off the deep end and start to use drugs again. He was already drinking, and was one step away from heading down the path to drug use.
Both of these movements will be key to the show Sunday, as these two are going to need to be at their best to really uncover the present murders in a shocking two hours that will hopefully be yet another reminder of how this year is redemption for “The Killing,” and something that deserves almost all of your praise.
