‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 5: New photos of Ian Somerhalder, Paul Wesley

What better way to prepare yourself for the start of “The Vampire Diaries” season 5 than with some brand-new promotional photos? The folks over at The CW are doing already everything that they can in order to promote the series, but at this point in production, really one of the only things you can really do is share some images. There are not any properly videos edited together just yet, and even some of the official promotional photos are still in progress.

So instead, what we have for you here is that oh-so crafty idea of a preview for some of the photos previewing the series. A little bit of a bizarre concept, no? These images were shared across the network’s various social-media accounts today, and this one features Ian Somerhalder’s Damon seemingly staring through his own cardboard television back at you. This feels almost similar to some of the brief shots that the characters do inside of a box at the end of some of the network’s promos, and maybe this will be used for that when put into motion. For now, it’s just Somerhalder’s Damon trying to intimidate.

Meanwhile, the other image that we have to share is something that is far easier to identify: Paul Wesley’s Stefan simply being Stefan. There are no real frills or anything else surprising coming out of this image; instead, it just shows off the actor crossing his arms, and looking into your soul for what could be a crazy year ahead. Wesley does, after all, have a bit of a busy year in between playing this part and also playing Silas.
