‘The Walking Dead’ season 4 spoilers: Probably more like ‘The Crawling Dead’

While you may or may not have realized that you would want to see a crawling baby happen at some point on “The Walking Dead,” the truth here is that you’re getting it anyway. Let’s just hope that you have enough of a stomach (which we are assuming you do, since you’re actually watching this show) to stomach the sight of a new-newborn that craves human flesh.

Even though we would be surprised if this matters beyond anything other than pure shock value, it’s something that the folks over at AMC are still very keen to send to the press and let their producers talk about. Just take a look, for example, and what Robert Kirkman said to TV Guide:

“It’ll be something different from the baby who was seen in [2004’s] Dawn of the Dead remake, which was horrific and done so well. There’s still room for us to do something different and cool.”

This zombie baby is just one of the many tricks that Greg Nicotero currently has up his sleeve, as there are plans to bring out a myriad of new zombies this fall for the sake of keeping things surprising. With the Governor being isolated a little more (at least in the fall) into some more standalone episodes, we will see the return of walkers as the #1 threat to the safety of the entire prison. This is appropriate, given that the Governor is really only one man, and there are thousands upon thousands of walkers roaming around and hungry for something to eat.
