‘The Walking Dead’ season 4 spoilers: Andrew Lincoln on a subdued Rick
Do you think that Rick’s been going a little too crazy as of late on “The Walking Dead” season 4, and do you think that he needs to cool down a little bit? If you find yourself saying “yes” to these questions, you’re not alone: The man has been going possibly way too all-out as of late in his quest to take down The Governor, and to also be the big imposing leader for everyone in the prison. Thanks to this, his entire life has started to crumble; if you want a great example of that, how can you look any further than with what is going on right now with Carl pulling a gun out and shooting someone who was apparently trying to surrender? Somebody’s got to be around the control that kid.
With that in mind, it really just feels appropriate that we would see an incarnation of Rick that is much more relaxed, and not so gung-ho when it comes to trying to do things beyond his capabilities. Just see Andrew Lincoln’s comments per TV Guide for more:
“It’s a man trying to reclaim the man he once was … We find him battling or trying to subdue the brutality that’s inherent in this man and also maybe relinquishing responsibilities for leadership for the sake of his family. You’re seeing a man try to be a single dad in an apocalypse. It’s a challenge.”
Lincoln has some challenges to face this year just in the form of more zombies than ever, as the prison will slowly start to inch closer and closer to being zombiegeddon … or a zombvasion … or zomnado. The real point we’re trying to make here is pretty simple: The zombies are going to be out in full force more than ever this time around, and are back to being the biggest threats.
