‘Royal Pains’ season 5, episode 6 review: Guess who’s shacking up together?

Dr. SacaniLast week, we had an episode of “Royal Pains” that we’re sure a good many people out there (like us) would want to try and forget. However, this time around there was an episode that brought us some of those case-of-the-week stories, but also some general progress towards getting the stories we care about from point A to point B.

For one, Jeremiah and Divya are now living together! Okay, we should preface this by saying that by using the term “living together,” we simply mean that they she is shacking up at his place while her neighbor deals with a mold crisis. It’s not romantic, at least not yet. But seeing hungover Jeremiah totally was enough to make us forget about that terribly-cheesy cameo from Gail Simmons, who probably appreciated this cheese pun about as much as we appreciated her product placement for “Top Chef Masters” in this episode (and we love “Top Chef Masters,” so we’re not just trolling here).

Also, Hank finally let Evan in on the secret surrounding Boris trying to accomplish the mission set up by faking his own death, which could end up being a mistake, given that Evan never shuts up about … well, anything. It was actually Paige who helped him by accident, as her art cataloging technique turned out to be something that he knew he could use to try to get a certain someone behind bars … maybe. When you’re dealing with mysterious rich people, who knows what they will do?

Speaking of rich people, Evan does seem to be winning over more of the town with his campaigning, though it did take him learning in the process that Paige doesn’t want to be token political wife, which we can’t really blame her. (After seeing Anthony Weiner’s wife this week, we feel bad for all women who just have to stand there during speeches, even if there man is a nice guy.)

The final import thing to bring up? That Hank has accepted the offer seemingly do business out of Heritage Hospital, which raises the really important question: Is Shelby going to be nice and sweet once she’s actually hooked the fish, or will she now just dump him in a cooler with barely enough water to survive?

We’ll find out next week the answers to some of these questions, but for now, we’re going to just sit back and enjoy what was a pretty relaxing night in the Hamptons.
