‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 7: The Zachary Quinto campaign

Big Bang TheoryWho wouldn’t want to see Zachary Quinto on “The Big Bang Theory”? This, for now, is a simple question we ask you, given that he has just about everything that he would possibly need in order to be the perfect guest star for the show. For one, he’s got a huge geek connection via either “Star Trek” or “Heroes.” Second, he’s interested; and finally, it would be something that could be a nice departure for him, given that he’s constantly put into more dramatic rules that are surely fun, but also leave a hankering for something new.

We’ve heard rumors surrounding Quinto being interested for a little while now, but executive producer / current showrunner Steven Molaro confirmed the good news by saying the following to The Huffington Post:

“Zachary Quinto has said to us that he’d be very interested in being on the show — we would love to have him. There’s nothing set in place yet but we’re hopeful that that can happen. “

The only hurdle (at least for now) that we really see standing in the way of this working out is his schedule. Quinto has been doing some theater work as of late, and while it doesn’t appear that he has a part on the upcoming season of “American Horror Story” (a contrast to the first two seasons), he’s still pretty darn busy. Plus, Molaro and the writers probably have specific episodes in mind when they start really plotting out the season in its entirety. If we don’t get Quinto, we’ll at least settle for some more hilarious jokes about him. (We already know how Sheldon feels about the different iterations of Spock.)

So come on fans, let’s make this happen! For now, the best thing that “Big Bang Theory” fans can do is just keep hyping the show, and you can also check out more news from the Comic-Con panel here.
