‘True Blood’ season 6 spoilers: Is Anna Camp’s Sarah Newlin going away anytime soon?
Hasn’t “True Blood” season 6 turned into something completely different from what you first expected? We imagined for a long time that Governor Burrell or Warlow would be the chief villain of the season, and that we’d have the other characters suck as the love interest (Ben the fairy), the helpful assistant (Niall), and the Alcide story that drags the entire show down threaded in between.
Well, Niall has been gone for weeks, Burrell is dead, and Ben just so happens to be Warlow. Sadly, the Alcide story is still boring us to tears, and it doesn’t look to be going away anytime soon. For evidence, read up on the official synopsis from HBO for “Dead Meat,” which is going to air for the first time a week from Sunday:
“Sookie (Anna Paquin) faces a major dilemma in deciding whether to broker a deal between Warlow (Rob Kazinsky) and Bill (Stephen Moyer). Over in vamp camp, Jason (Ryan Kwanten) gets to know Violet (Karolina Wydra), while Sarah (Anna Camp) goes to extremes to keep Tru Blood flowing. Alcide (Joe Manganiello) makes a decision that will impact the futures of Nicole (Jurnee Smollett-Bell) and Sam (Sam Trammell).”
This synopsis serves as proof that Sarah Newlin, the surprising Big Bad-esque character as of late, will live to see the light of day for at least one more episode; and for those of you freaking out over possible deaths, there is no mention of Jessica, Tara, Eric, or Pam. Don’t read too much into that, given that this is a pretty short synopsis via HBO standards. Their story is probably just too juicy to spoil. As for Alcide and Sam? Well … they can go ahead and tell us everything. (We miss the days when these two were closer to Sookie.)
We just don’t want there to be another death for a few more weeks, given that we’re still in some sort of “True Blood” mourning when it comes to Todd Lowe’s Terry Bellefleur. Luckily, he’ll also be showing up at least one more time via flashback.
