‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ review: Teresa Giudice, Melissa Gorga’s ‘counseling’
If we were to look at Sunday night’s “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” episode as “The Dark Knight,” the quote that you could really see emphasized here is “the night is darkest before the dawn.” Is that dawn coming? We like to think so. As disgusting and depressing as that fight between Joe Giudice and Joe Gorga was last week, who knows? Maybe we are looking at a situation here where the best thing for the two parties was to actually engage in a little bit of verbal warfare. In getting some of their real feelings about each other somewhat out in the open, even on a physical level, the sun can rise again for this family.
Unfortunately, to use a quote from another geek franchise in “Game of Thrones,” “the night is dark and full of terrors.” The terrors this week came from some of the people standing in the way of improvement. Melissa Gorga, for one, was desperate to keep Teresa and her brother from trying to talk things out, and so, the journey into “therapy” began.
If you think back and remember what some of these ladies were saying in some interviews as of late, then you will know that everything that they are going through right now is ultimately meant to get them into a much better place. But will they be able to get there in time for them to actually change their lives for good? While there are signs that the relationship between the Giudice – Gorga clan has patched things up, we also see tabloid rumors that suggest that the trouble is really far from over, and some more cracks are starting to surface.
