‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 5: Ian Somerhalder, Nina Dobrev ready for Comic-Con

Is it fair to say that Saturday is going to be a pretty big occasion for some of the stars of “The Vampire Diaries”? Definitely. Both the show and “The Originals” are set to have their Comic-Con panel discussions this weekend, which we can assume really just means a few things: Tons of screaming fans, having to answer many of the same questions, and also possibly dealing with a huge throng of security who are paid to keep everyone in line.

Despite some of the crazy aspects of being at Comic-Con, most of the actors seem to all be reasonably excited about being back and meeting thousands of fans at the biggest convention of its kind in America. Nina Dobrev in particular made it clear why she was happy to be at the convention center:

“Can’t wait to see everyone, especially since I was filming during the hiatus and didnt get to hang with you guys at the conventions this summer! Sad face :( Ill make up for it today! Promise. Loveeee u guys!”

The conventions that Nina is referring to here in particular are the ones that take place all around the world, and Ian Somerhalder, Paul Wesley, Candice Accola, and some other actors all had an opportunity to visit fans and talk about their time on the show.

Season 5 production has already started, and this is how important of an event Comic-Con is for some of these people: They are willing to take a break from filming just to be here and start to get ready on the episodes ahead.
