We are almost amazed at this point just how quiet the production has been on “American Horror Story: Coven.” This is a show with the Ryan Murphy name attached to it, and when you generally look across his history, this means that the show is going to really be hyped out of control.
So what is going on here? It’s hard to really say, but it is clear that the creator / showrunner wants to keep a certain amount of details close to the vest for now. Luckily, we have at least been able to figure out a few new pieces of scoop courtesy of SpoilerTV. The following roles are currently being cast, and it will be interesting to see what becomes of them.
1. Carter – Great choice in last name, and he is apparently a good-looking guy from a small town in his twenties.
2. A younger version of Gwen, the character played by Jessica Lange on the show. How young? Think along the lines of in her twenties.
3. A younger version of Ruth, the character played by Frances Conroy. The age is around the same.
Maybe we are looking at some sort of flashback sequence here? That is almost the inevitable answer that you come up with anytime that you hear that producers are casting young versions of major characters. Then again, this is a story about witches, so it is theoretically possible that they could be transformed versions of the women that we have already come to know.
Some more details on “American Horror Story: Coven” will likely be revealed in the weeks ahead, so be sure to stay tuned for that. Meanwhile, be sure to visit the link here if you want to check out some more news on what you can expect from the premiere.
