2013 ESPYs: Watch Jon Hamm roast Dwight Howard, Manti Te’o, more

ESPYsDuring tonight’s ESPYs, a number of people who don’t watch “Mad Men” or don’t know anything at all about Jon Hamm found out something very important: The man is hilarious, and this time, he was hilarious while looking a good bit like Don Draper at the same time.

Hamm admitted during his opening monologue that he is an enormous fan of the hit show, and he also showed that he was someone who was stuffed full of strong opinions. The best line came almost from the very beginning, where he proclaimed that the show had the largest concentration out there of people “wearing sunglasses indoors.” He also completely killed Dwight Howard going to Houston, the entire Manti Te’o situation (which there is apparently some humor left in), and “male pattern baldness” on the Miami Heat.

The best thing that Hamm did overall, though, was liven up a crowd that can be rather tense. Remember, there are people in the audience here that spent their entire year trying to defeat another team and another person, and they failed at that. So to sit there and watch these same people win even more awards has to be painful. Therefore, it must be nice for there to be a little bit more in the way of humor handed out at every step along the way.

After watching this, can we officially say that Hamm is the best host for this show since Justin Timberlake?

What do you think about Hamm’s introduction, and his hosting performance on the night as a whole? Be sure to share your thoughts below! If you want to read even more news when it comes to the ESPYs, just be sure to head on over to the link here.
