2013 ESPYs: Where to watch Jon Hamm and the show live

ESPYsWe have personally always found the ESPYs to be a little bit of a strange beast. It’s an awards show for people who are already recognized for winning in their individual sport, and it seems so very subjective to try and put someone who won the Super Bowl up against the winner of a tennis tournament. However, this is the way of the world for ESPN’s annual reason to pack a room with some of the biggest names in the business.

But where can you check out the show? Our suggestion for you is that you can either catch it on your TV over on ESPN, or you can also view the whole thing live on your computer. The caveat here is that while you can watch it at this link, you need to already have some sort of access to the network at home in order to make it happen. Therefore, this is really only significant if someone else is watching “America’s Got Talent” and you don’t want to put this on your DVR. (Or, you’re at work and you are looking for something to do other than work.)

Jon Hamm of “Mad Men” fame is hosting this year’s awards, which seems to be appropriate. In addition to being a sports fan (which has to be a prerequisite for this sort of thing), he’s got a great sense of humor that does not really come out often while playing Don Draper. Our favorite part of the ESPYs? That it does occasionally become a chance for athletes to talk smack about each other in a public form, and we’re always all about that.

Of course, stay tuned later in the night; we’ll have some more news straight from the show then.
