How much is Oprah Winfrey paying Lindsay Lohan for OWN docu-series?

It looks like Lindsay Lohan is really about to cash in as a way of getting her life back in order. In a move to help to revive interest and ratings in her self-titled network, Oprah Winfrey has (as you may have heard) booked the troubled “Mean Girls” star to not only give an interview to her not long after she exits treatment, but to star in an eight-part docuseries about her life and her attempts to get herself put back together.

So what will all of this end up bringing in for Lindsay? According to TMZ, she is going to be paid rather handsomely for it, to the tune of $2 million. This is twice as much as she was paid to strip down for a famous men’s magazine, and it is also substantially more than any sum of money that she has received for any recent acting gigs. Not only that, but Oprah is also outfitting her with assistants and a stylist for the near future.

So will all of this really help to turn things around for Lindsay? Of course, we have hope; but when you have been burned as many times as the public has in the past, it’s better to take a few deep breaths and not really expect anything. Granted, Oprah does have a great deal of clout and knows a lot of people who can help her; it will really just come down to whether or not she really wants to help herself.
