AMC’s ‘The Killing’ season 3, episode 9 preview: A chase; Seward’s waiting game
Can you believe that we are already into the home stretch on “The Killing” season 3? In some ways, it’s pretty hard to deny now that this season has really blown by, and how close we are to this case as a whole finally being solved.
Unfortunately, there are still a number of major stumbling blocks that need to be overcome before the show manages to be at a place where Linden and Holder can breathe a sigh of relief. For one, Holder’s got to realize that while Bullet lied to him once, he’s not interested in lying to him again. As a matter of fact, he may be the only person right now that is able to offer some of the help that he really needs. (In turn, Bullet may need some help from him given the shadowy figure that we saw present in the cliffhanger.)
Meanwhile, while this thread dangles out there without much of an end, as Linden is going to find herself in what is without a doubt a pretty terrible situation. She is going to be spending her time on some sort of chase to track down a suspect, and judging from what we hear, there will be at least a shot fired. They can’t really kill off the main character a couple of episodes before the end … can they?
In addition to all of this, there is also still the massive issue still present here of Ray Seward, and him continuing to get closer and closer to the end. The wardens are basically telling him that he has no shot of redemption, and Linden is now the only hope that he has.
