‘The Newsroom’ season 2 premiere video: This clip will look familiar…

On Sunday night’s season 2 premiere for “The Newsroom,” we are going to see what could be in many ways described as the same sort of thing that we tended to see time and time again on the show’s first season: Mackenzie becoming angry and emotional over something, and then attacking Will over it.

To be fair, in this case it sounds like it was very much our rebellious news anchor’s fault. After what appears to be a stint on the air, Mackenzie shoves him against a wall and asks him just what in the world he was thinking. What is she talking about here? We can only guess that it in some way revolves around the way in which he handled an interview with a guest, particularly in the way in which he may have let them off the hook and ended this segment early.

If you hated the show’s first season, this video is probably not going to convince you to change your mind. However, it’s also what people who are fans of the show want to see much more of: Tension between our two leading actors, and the sort of ramifications of them butting heads (which they tend to do on a pretty regular basis).
