‘The X Factor’ UK: Gary Barlow to depart at end of series 10

X Factor NewsFor Gary Barlow fans, this cannot be a particularly happy day. After three seasons aboard the judging panel on “The X Factor” UK, Gary Barlow will bid farewell at the end of this season. As for the reason why, the answer is simple: He’s got some musical business that he wants to attend to.

According to The Sun, Barlow wants to re-focus on a career with Take That next year (including a world tour), and that cannot be done when you are also trying to balance out judging on a talent competition like this. Being a part of “The X Factor” can be a very time-consuming gig, especially when you consider everything that goes into it from the audition rounds to bootcamp to having to situate yourself in one place for several months a year in order to help some of your acts.

Granted, the report here hilariously mentions that Barlow’s exit paves the way for Simon Cowell to return next year, which The Sun has tried to report multiple times over the past several years. As long as the American show is going strong, Simon can’t balance these two shows at once. There is simply too much of a carryover, and he can only be in so many places at one time. The fact that Sharon Osbourne is balancing out this show along with “The Talk” is pretty remarkable in itself.

What do you think about Gary signing off from the British version of “The X Factor”? We want to hear some more of your thoughts below! If you want to read some more news about some “X Factor” acts at present, just be sure to head on over to the link here.
