‘Dexter’ season 8, episode 3 preview: More trouble for Jennifer Carpenter’s Deb

Just in case you thought that the worst was over when it comes to Jennifer Carpenter’s Deb on “Dexter” (and we were even told at times that it was), this rock-bottom stage looks like it is probably going to last at least a little while longer. Based on the sneak peek below from Sunday night’s new episode, trouble is going to arrive for her in a pretty substantial manner, and courtesy of a possible arrest for DUI.

Now obviously, a good many of these details are still sketchy considering that we pick up on the story with Deb already pulled over while the police knock on her window. She’s got an open container in her car, and the real reason that the police don’t seem to be interested in helping out their former lieutenant here seems to be due to her allegedly destroying city property. Hopefully, we’ll get a little bit more of an idea what this is when the episode airs.

It’s hard to necessarily say that anything good comes from an arrest like this, but the one silver lining here for Dexter in particular could be that it draws his sister back into the Miami Metro world, even if it is a way in which she doesn’t exactly want to be. This will lead to some opportunities to try to talk to her… and who knows? Maybe the two can find some sort of peace in the process.
