‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 5 spoilers: Who is Nadia? Meet Olga Fonda

While you may not know the name Olga Fonda right now, odds are that if you are a major fan of “The Vampire Diaries,” you’re going to be studying this name rather closely in the weeks to come. After all, this actress is the latest addition to the season 5 cast, and she will be playing the character of Nadia.

So who is Fonda? The actress has a number of small credits to her name already, and they include the likes of “How I Met Your Mother,” “Entourage,” and even a role on another CW series in “Nikita.” She has also done some more work in feature films, including the recently robot movie (which still doesn’t hold a candle to “Pacific Rim”) “Real Steel.”

Now, let’s move on to this Nadia character, who definitely seems to fit that bill of “mysterious” figure perfectly on the show. She is going to bring quite a few skills, including the ability to serve as a chameleon, and do almost anything and everything to get what she wants. Based on that description alone, it is almost easy to figure out why there are some comparisons that can be made between this character and Katherine, as both of them also operate more often than not with mysterious motives in mind.

You will first have an opportunity to meet Nadia fairly early on into season 4.
