‘Arrested Development’ season 5: Talks already happening with Netflix

Arrested DevelopmentFor those of you who watched “Arrested Development” and wondered whether or not the show would get another kick at the can on Netflix, we have some rather fantastic news to share with you now: You could be seeing so much more of the Bluth family next year!

Speaking to Bloomberg in a new interview, executive producer Brian Grazer says that Netflix is interested in having another season of the popular show, and that all parties involved are in talks to try and figure something out.

When you look at the reason why the service wants more of the family, the reasoning is clear: This show is a complete beast when it comes to conversation. Netflix does not release ratings data the same way that networks do, but it was easily the most buzzed-about property that they have created thus far, and they are well aware that if they make more, subscribers may stick around even longer.

As for the primary issues here, it comes down to a few key people that could include problems like budget and scheduling. All of these stars are going to deserve more money for another season, and while the show uses a unique model of paying based on the role that you have in an individual episode, this all starts to pile up when you have an expansive cast. You also have actors here, including Michael Cera, Jason Bateman, and Tony Hale, who are either on other shows at present, or are in the middle of a jam-packed film career.

Are you stoked for the idea of more “Arrested Development”? If you want to read some more news about what some of the other actors are up to at the moment, just be sure to head on over to the link here.
