Leading into Grantchester season 11 episode 7 on PBS next week, there is without a doubt so much to say. After all, how are we so close to the end already? There are only two more installments left before the show ends and through that, we imagine that there are going to be an array of unexpected twists and turns.

Above all else, though, we imagine that there will be emotion — so much emotion. This is a series that has brought you in to the world of these characters on a number of instances over the years and with the series finale around the corner, we do think they want you questioning whether or not they will find a true sense of peace.

Yet, we do not want to get too far ahead of ourselves in this particular piece. Instead, the full Grantchester season 11 episode 7 synopsis does its best in order to set the stage:

While Alphy seeks redemption and renewed faith, Geordie’s investigation into a local crook ignites a high-stakes siege, trapping Cathy and Mrs. C in the line of fire. As tensions rise and shots are fired, courage, love, and sacrifice are pushed to their limits.

Just based on reading this alone, the one thing that does feel abundantly clear is that there is not going to be some extreme amount of closure in the closing minutes. A lot will be saved for the finale and understandably so. It helps for Grantchester in particular that because there are only a limited number of main characters, there will be time for all of them — you do not have to worry about anyone getting left behind.

Just have some tissues on standby and from there, hope that they are happy tears. For all the trials and tribulations, we have a hard time thinking that anyone is planning a sad end to this story.
