As we look in the direction of Grantchester season 11 episode 6 on PBS next week, it does feel easy to have a lot of emotions. There are only three installments left before the series is over! How did we get here so quickly? It is in that way something that is extremely hard to digest. This is a show that has been a part of our lives for an extremely long time and yet, it still does not last forever. The end is near, and we imagine that faith and friendships are going to be a part of that final chapter.

As for what is going to be leading up to it, let’s just say that struggle could be a big part of the equation. We have certainly seen a lot of this already with Alphy and the more that we hear on the subject now, the more it feels like this is going to continue. Is his relationship with Geordie in danger, both personally and professionally? Based on what we are hearing at this point, it does feel like that could theoretically be possible … even if we don’t want it.

To get a few other details right now for what is ahead, go ahead and check out the full Grantchester season 11 episode 6 synopsis below:

Cathy’s triumph at CeCe’s turns dark when a club manager is found dead and Alphy is discovered in the depths of an illegal poker game. As Geordie uncovers a web of extortion, friendships fracture and faith falters.

Ultimately, we do tend to think that with us so near the end now, every story is going to be linked a little bit more than it was in the past. While this show has really done wonders with the case-of-the-week format over the past several years, this is absolutely a time to mix things up.
