The late-night show is once again on hiatus, as it has been for the past stretch of time. The plan here instead seems to be making us wait for a little while longer to see it back from summer break — though be assured there is a lot more coming and you do not have to be concerned about that in the slightest.

Ultimately, there is never going to be a shortage of topics for Oliver to cover and we imagine that when he does return, he will talk a good bit about political headlines, the World Cup, and anything else that happens within the break. We also certainly would not be shocked if she shows off at least a few clips from his soap-opera stint, mostly because the joy of watching this show does often come with the randomness.

In general, there is a lot of the season still to come and through that alone, we do feel pretty confident in saying that there are going to be an abundance of surprises. We just hope that you are prepared to laugh, and Oliver is also willing to do some more big, creative swings. Why would we expect anything else from a guy who has participated in everything from soaps to Minor League Baseball? The joy of watching is that sometimes, a throwaway joke can actually end up snowballing into something so much more.
