‘How I Met Your Mother’ season 9: Fun with Josh Radnor, Cristin Milioti’s chairs

As you may know by now, one of the biggest stories breaking when it comes to “How I Met Your Mother” season 9 has been so far the promotion of Cristin Milioti to series regular, where she is playing the role that just about everyone who loves this show has been waiting for: The Mother. Ted has been hoping to meet her for nine full years, and we now know that it is going to happen by the end of this season (even if she is going to end up meeting everyone else first).

Now, we have the attached photo, which was posted by executive producer Craig Thomas in a new post on his official Twitter account, which was hilariously dubbed “how i met your chair.” We don’t expect that these two actors are going to have any scenes together for quite some time, but it’s nice to even see their chairs sitting together.

So how much of a role will Milioti have in the series day-to-day? That’s still to be seen, as the writers have to come up with some pretty interesting ways to integrate her character into the story. Having the final season be a full 24 episodes definitely helps, since it is insurance that they are going to have plenty of opportunities to work with her on various scenes and tinker with ideas before that big (and inevitable) meeting comes along.
