Dutton Ranch season 2 spoilers: Will Carter be found alive?

We are beyond excited to note that a Dutton Ranch season 2 is coming on Paramount+ and by virtue of that, there are so many stories still to tell!

Are there some that stand out more than any other? Well, the top order of business for Beth and Rip moving forward is honestly not that complicated. The two are going to put everything to the side in order to ensure that Carter is saved after his kidnapping. Will he make it through? We are hopeful but given that the series just seemingly killed of Rob-Will, it does feel foolish to look at almost anything as certain at this particular point in time.

So let’s assume for a moment that Carter does make it out of this situation in one piece — will anything change when it comes to his relationship with Beth and Rip? We know that things were rocky for all of them at the end of season 1, but there is still hope! Here is what Finn Little had to say to TV Guide:

I think it will definitely make him a lot closer to them and make him appreciate them a little more. But I think it is what it is. He’s growing up. For a time, I think he wanted to be sheltered from everything that was happening in his life, and now he’s realizing he wants a little more independence.

Ultimately, we do tend to think that Carter’s future is going to be somewhat of a balancing act. Carter has to recognize that Beth and Rip are worried about him for a reason; yet, he is an adult and with that, Cole Hauser and Kelly Reilly’s characters may have to recognize that he will want a life of his own, as well.
