Patience season 2 episode 5 spoilers: A coded message…

Next week on PBS Patience season 2 episode 5 is going to arrive — can you believe we are at the halfway point of the story already? Time flies, and we still tend to think that a lot of big stuff is coming around the corner.

So what will make this next installment in particular stand out? Well, based at least on the information we have, it does appear as though one major part of the story is going to be about Vikings — that feels random on the surface and yet, can this show still make it work in an interesting way? Almost everything with this show can feel random when it comes to its cases, as the producers do clearly want to make you unsettled and/or wonder what is coming around every corner.

A Viking expert dies before a big controversial speech and Patience finds a coded message hinting at foul play. As another scholar is targeted, she and Frankie race to uncover the truth. And her relationship with Elliot hits the rocks.

In the end, the hope moving forward has to simply be that there are going to be a few twists and turns in all respects. The case is going to provide them, especially since Patience is going to have something major she has to try and uncover. Meanwhile, at the same time, we’re also going to see a personal revelation or two. Whether that changes the remainder of the season is to be seen, but we are happy to see what the creative team brings to the table not just here, but also the rest of the season.
