Sugar season 2 episode 4 preview: Who is Tony Dalton playing?

As we look towards Sugar season 2 episode 4 on Apple TV next week, isn’t it abundantly clear now that big changes are afoot? Just think about where we are in the story! We have seen John do whatever he can to investigate Ji’s disappearance on the series already, and there are a few different things of note we have learned. Take, for starters, the fact that he is very-much alive, albeit undercover.

Then, we also have the big reveal that as it turns out, a prominent person in law enforcement is somehow roped into everything — not only that, but they are played by Better Call Saul alum Tony Dalton! Sure, he may be working for the Sheriff’s Department, but John recognizing him from the footage at the hospital signals that we are not dealing with a kind person at all who is simply out to protect and serve.

At this point, it is of course our hope that we are going to see everything accelerate and a lot of the pieces fall more into place. Also, can we learn more about what is really going on with Charlotte? It has felt for a while that there is something more going on with this character and based on a possible conflict, it definitely feels like this is the proper time to dive a little bit further into that. Is she also an alien like Colin Farrell’s character? Or, has she been brought in to spy on him for another reason? There are a lot of possibilities at this point.
